Universal workers, certified as Nurse Aides & Medication Aides perform care tasks related to the needs of the residents in each cottage.
The universal worker is responsible not only for those tasks, but also for performing daily homemaking tasks such as cleaning & personal laundry services. They also assist residents to pursue their individual leisure interests such as gardening or reading the newspaper. The Care Plan determined by each resident & their representatives will guide the care received. A Nurse oversees this process in each cottage & provides assessments & treatments as needed.
A Hostess completes the cottage care team.
Their duties include preparing residents meals & snacks, housekeeping duties & greeting any cottage visitors. They also assist the residents in the common area throughout the day.
Our care team goal is to provide care & services to meet resident needs while limiting the amount of people coming in & out of their homes. Administrative services are also available from the Administration Cottage to meet resident needs.
